PADI LOVES Bureo for their mission to develop innovative solutions to prevent ocean plastic pollution. Their main goal? To prevent end-of-life fishing nets from entering our ocean, which represents an estimated 10% of plastic in the ocean and has been found to be four times more harmful than all other forms of plastic pollution combined.
A Net Positive Impact
Bureo is on a mission to protect our ocean by scaling a radically transparent model to eliminate fishing net pollution; utilizing disruptive innovation to catalyze change and create tangible positive impacts. Creating a positive impact since 2013, over 350,000kg of NetPlus materials have been collected to date from 26 participating communities in Chile.
